HERE
IS WHAT THE CLIENT SAID:
- Why
did you file bankruptcy?
"Because I owed everybody and his
brother, I had no choice. I couldn't
breathe anymore and I had a lot of medical
problems. I got terminal cancer."
- What
if you had not filed?
"I would still be scratching, I
guess. I don't know what would have
happened. I was robbing Peter to pay
Paul."
- How
did filing bankruptcy help you and your
family?
"I don't know how to put it in
words. I don't know how to tell you. I was
working 3 jobs, 1 full-time and 2
part-time. (Afterward), I quit one of
those jobs. It gave me free time. It was a
blessing."
- Would
you recommend bankruptcy for someone else?
"It depends on the circumstances.
If I could have combined my payments to
one that I could pay, I would have done
that, but I couldn't. I was spending 600
to 700 dollars a month on medicine. If you
do not have a choice, you don't have a
choice. Had I not filed bankruptcy, I
would have thrown my hands up and just
quit. It was a 'damned if I do' and
'damned if I don't' situation. I wouldn't
be where I am today, without filing. I am
taking chemotherapy now. It was a godsend.
Its all I can say."
- Would
you recommend the Law Offices of John T.
Orcutt?
"Yes, sir, and I have done that. I
certainly did. There we just as nice as
they could be. They didn't make me feel
like an itsy-bitsy pea in a pod. They were
always nice to me."
