Going through bankruptcy was the best thing we ever did.

Today we are in a brand new home!!! Mortgage companies will still work with you if you are persistent and don't give up. Our interest rate is only 6%. We moved in last August.

Also, I just purchased a new car. I called the bank that I had previously dealt with. Because I didn't default on my prior payments, they were willing to finance me and now I am driving a new car with only a 4.5% interest rate.

I just wanted to share this with you because people think that their lives are on hold for the next 8-10 years after bankruptcy. Not So!

Tell people not to give up and to be persistent! We were just discharged a little over a year ago and all this happened before our one year mark. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!

I am writing in response to a joyful experience that my husband and I experienced under bad circumstances recently.  At your Fayetteville, NC, location, I had the privilege of working with Christina Crews and Marcie Marlow.  These two ladies are an asset to your company.  They worked hard for us to help us get through our Chapter 13 bankruptcy. 

Most of the time people like ourselves don't like going to the attorney's office to air out our dirty laundry.  I know things happen to make a person file bankruptcy.  But these ladies did not treat us like we were bad people; they treated us with the utmost respect under a bad circumstance.  I am just so grateful that those two fine ladies were assigned to work with us.  You should be proud of them, as we are.

Due to recent severe difficulties in finances, my wife and I sought help from a bankruptcy attorney.  We first saw a lawyer in Raleigh who felt that our case was too complicated and would require a change in venue request that could prove to be compromising to his practice.  This made little sense to me.  He referred us to a lawyer in Durham.  I then met with an attorney with Wooten and Wooten for a 30 minute free consultation.  It was not long before this lawyer told me that my case was too difficult and that it would not be worth his time to take it on.  He said that the only attorney in the State that he knew was qualified to handle this type of bankruptcy case and who had the time to deal with it was Ed Boltz in the Law Offices of John T. Orcutt.  I did not even get all of my free 30 minutes there (at Wooten and Wooten).  I then proceeded to schedule an appointment with Ed Boltz.  I first met with Brenda Schmidt, a paralegal for Mr. Boltz, who spent an inordinate amount of time with me reviewing our financial situation.  She even made a follow-up appointment to review my case with me and I still have not been charged a single penny.  I feel that this firm and attorney are really looking at truly helping me through this very difficult time.  It is nice to find a business that is not only sizing you up for how much money they can get from you in the least amount of time, but who actually have a genuine interest in helping you regardless of the nature of your case.

I had declared a Chapter 13 almost 3 years ago and recently entered into an agreement to purchase my first home with my wife so we can have our own place to raise our 2 month old son Lucas.

You explained everything I needed to do in order to request permissions from the Trustee in a clear and efficient manner and actually mailed me the forms I needed immediately.  When I returned the completed forms along with the required documents, you stated you would expedite my case without me even having to ask.
