Myth 1: Bankruptcy Doesn't Get Rid Of Debt. Sooner Or Later, You Still Have To Pay It All Back.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
The truth is this. Bankruptcy lets you get rid of certain debts "without paying for them"..."without EVER paying for them". SHOCKED? Then you don't know bankruptcy. You need to let that sink in because it's the truth. Bankruptcy lets you get rid of certain debts "without paying for them" ..."without EVER having to pay for them...EVER". When bankruptcy gets rid of debts...those debts are "gone"...and I mean FOREVER.
Getting rid of certain debts without you EVER having to pay them back is simply how bankruptcy works, In fact, getting rid of certain debts, like credit cards, personal loans, medical bills, repossession deficiencies, mortgage deficiencies, etc. is what bankruptcy does best.
Think about it. How much better off would you and your family be if...all of a sudden...you had a lot less debt? Why do you think so many clients keep telling us that "filing bankruptcy was the best thing I ever did"?
The problem is this: We are all so programmed all our lives to pay our bills and to think we have to that it's just hard to believe that...if we file bankruptcy...we may NOT have to. The law says that you have to pay all your bills all the time, but the law also says: "except if you file bankruptcy". If it helps, think of filing bankruptcy as something that works like magic. "Now you owe...POOF!...now, you don't". Why? Because that's just how it works.
Once you get it out of your head that "sooner or later, I still have to pay it all back", you can begin to understand just how powerful and wonderful bankruptcy really is. Imagine a world where you don't worry about bills every waking moment and where you can sleep every night.
All we want is for you to have a bigger, better life. A bigger, better future. Getting rid of debts you can't afford is the key...a necessary first step. The more debt you get rid of and faster you get rid of it, the quicker you can move on to a bigger, better life. And, nothing works like bankruptcy...nothing. The minute you file, you are on the way to less debt, sometimes a lot less debt. Think about it: Where else can you get rid of debts WITHOUT PAYING FOR THEM?.
